It all started when I woke up in the morning to the sound of the TV, which I forgot to turn off before going to bed. There was a program about Texas on TV. Traditional costumes, weather and traditional beef jerky. This gave rise to the desire to always have such a snack at hand. However, large companies that were available in supermarkets were too expensive and did not offer interesting flavors. That same day I began to explore the topic and bought equipment. This is how a long path of experiments and drying for myself and friends began. This is how the idea came to turn a hobby into a business, to provide all lovers of unusual snacks with the same opportunity.
At first I focused on classic recipes. I liked the idea of making soy and honey snacks.
I started choosing meat from large suppliers that I have access to. Of the four large suppliers, I was only satisfied with the quality of one. The muscles were well pumped up, lots of fat and pieces of bone. All of these were criteria to give up the others.
At the beginning I had difficulties with equipment. The first equipment was home-made, which led to a lot of waste.
The most memorable were the first snacks. They were awful. Overly dry and overly salty. But I managed.
I see the future in regular selection of new products. I want to experiment with other types of meat and exclusive spices. For example, with horse meat.
